What kind of phone number can I have with my EasyConnect service?
EasyConnect currently offers Enterprise grade VoIP solutions to the following
regions:
Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, Halifax, Kingston, Cornwall, Barrie,
Aurora, South Pickering/Ajax, Mississauga, Port Credit, Richmond Hill, Thornhill,
Markham, Concord, Burlington, St Catharines, Sault Ste Marie. With additional
access to DID (direct inward dial) numbers for most of North America, service
can be provided to satellite offices while retaining numbers that are local to
their area.
You can choose a phone number in the above areas or a Canada/U.S. toll-free
number.

Can I choose a phone number
outside of my local calling area?
Yes. EasyConnect allows you to choose one or more Canadian phone numbers in
Canada -- wherever
in the world you reside.

Can I have a toll-free number?
Yes. EasyConnect enables you to have a Canada/U.S. toll-free phone number. If you
have a Canada/U.S. toll-free number then anyone in Canada and the U.S. can call
you toll-free no matter where you are located.

Can a person outside of Canada and the U.S.
call a Canada/U.S. toll-free number for free?
No. Canada/U.S. toll-free numbers only accept calls made within Canada and the U.S.

Can I replace my primary
telephone line with EasyConnect?
Because EasyConnect will not work during a power failure or loss of Internet
connection. it is not recommended to be used as a
primary telephone line unless you have secondary phone communication such as
cell phone.

number to EasyConnect?
Yes if they are Canadian numbers.

Can I keep my
EasyConnect phone number if I decide to cancel my EasyConnect service?

Is 911 service available with
EasyConnect?
EasyConnect does not currently offer 911 emergency service. But it offers a E911
service.

Will EasyConnect service work
during a power outage?
No. During a power outage or if your Internet service provider is offline, you
will not be able to make or receive calls with your EasyConnect service. Your
calls will be redirected to your other secondary phones such as cell phone or
your voice mail.

Is 411 service available with
EasyConnect?
EasyConnect does not offer 411 information services at this time. You can
register yourselves.

How much are EasyConnect calling
plans?
There are a variety of monthly calling plans to choose from. The most popular is
the Enhanced Plan. The unlimited local call is
only $27.95. Monthly plans include VoiceMail, call waiting, 3-way calling, call
forwarding, and other features.

How much does the
telephone adapter cost?
The telephone adapter costs
$150.00
(plus shipping and handling)
and can be purchased when you sign up online.
For a limited time, customers in the U.S. and Canada can receive a telephone
adapter at a monthly rental of

There are no other charges except the out-of-plan or overage long distance call

toll-free phone number?
U.S. or U.K. toll-free numbers are available with your EasyConnect service for an
additional
$9.95 per month.

What are the rates
for incoming calls?
If you have a monthly plan, there is no charge for incoming calls unless
you are using a toll-free number to receive calls.

What forms of
payment does EasyConnect accept?
EasyConnect accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Do you charge sales tax?
In accordance with Canadian law, sales tax is charged on goods shipped to
Ontario. Sales tax is not charged on your monthly calling plan. All these are
included in the price quoted if applied.

Do I need to sign a contract
for EasyConnect service?
No. EasyConnect does not require an annual contract. All plans are on a
3 months basis and can be cancelled one month before the end of the billing
cycle.

What is “broadband”?
A broadband Internet connection is a cable modem, DSL, T1, T3, LAN, WAN or any
other high-speed, “always on” connection. If you have a modem in your computer
that needs to dial an access number to connect to the Internet, then you do not
have a broadband connection.

What is a telephone adapter?
A telephone adapter is a device about the same size as an answering machine that
allows you to connect your phone to your broadband Internet connection. You must
have a Sipura telephone adapter or i2001 IP phone to use EasyConnect. You will
order the telephone adapter when you sign up for EasyConnect.

Do I need a router?
Yes.

I already have a
telephone adapter. Can I use it with EasyConnect?
At this time, you must use a Sipura telephone adapter from
EasyConnect. This telephone adapter has special firmware that is required to use
the EasyConnect service.

Do I use my own phone?
Yes. Plug your phone (cordless or wired) into the
telephone adapter, pick up the
handset, and dial when you hear the dial tone.

Can I use a cordless phone?
Yes. Any standard phone will work with EasyConnect.

Do I need any
additional accessories or equipment to start making calls?
No. To use the EasyConnect service you simply need a broadband Internet
connection, a telephone adapter, and a
telephone.

Do I need a computer
to use EasyConnect?
No. You do not use a computer to make or receive calls with EasyConnect. You
will, however, need a computer with Web browser software to use the online
account center and to make any configuration changes to your telephone adapter.
(We recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.)

broadband satellite connection?

EasyConnect
Do I need to dial the area
code when I make local calls?
Yes. EasyConnect offers same dialing as the conventional phone service. In
Toronto, you have to dial the full
10 digit number like you usually do.

Can I take EasyConnect with me
when I travel?
Yes. Your EasyConnect service can travel with you. When someone calls your phone
number, your phone simply rings wherever you have your telephone and adapter
plugged into a broadband Internet connection -- whether you are home or
traveling somewhere else in the world.

How can I retrieve
my VoiceMail messages?
You can retrieve your VoiceMail messages from your EasyConnect-connected phone,

What is your return policy?
If your telephone adapter is defective, it may be returned within 45
days from the date of purchase (30 days on purchases made in the U.S.), and we
will exchange it for a new adapter.
Before you return your adapter, please make sure you have followed the set up
instructions correctly.
